Genuinely Joyful Outcomes
About Life Coaching
As a personal & professional growth catalyst for individual & organizational transformation, when I first heard that joy is the single most valuable trait, characteristic or skill a person can have, I thought the claim was maybe just a little bit silly.
Yet, as I began to research it, I found out just how true it is.
Human beings are driven far more by what they feel and believe (perceptions and expectations) than by rational thinking. No matter how intelligent we are, our feelings drive our opinions and actions far more than our intellect.
Vast amounts of research from emotional intelligence to appreciative inquiry, and even best-sellers such as Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point, illustrate that we can achieve more with a smile and positive attitude, or what I call a genuinely joyful lightness of spirit, than any amount of reasoning.
Joyful people typically deliver better results, faster. So do joyful groups (work groups, volunteer groups, social groups). And, they generate good will while they’re doing it, which creates a generative cycle of more good will because genuinely joyful people positively impact the behavior of others.
So, if feeling genuine joy is essential, but you aren’t one to go skipping gleefully from one thing to the next, how do you get there?
The good news is, feeling joy is a state of mind, and a skill that positions you to excel in everything you do. Skills can be learned! The added bonus is that you feel good while you're doing it.
If you’d like to lighten your heart, tighten your performance, and fall back in love with your life, I invite you to contact me.
Joyfully,
Rebecca Rehfeld, PhD

Coaching is a discovery process—a journey—but not one you have to take alone. I’ll help you create context for your life using your values as a guideline. Through coaching, you’ll understand yourself on a deeper level, identify goals and desires, set intentions, create strategies to support those intentions, and turn them into goals with specific outcomes.
